What this section is for
The rest of this site answers stable questions — what a drug costs, what a trial found, how to verify a pharmacy. The journal covers what is changing, which in this market is a great deal.
The single largest story is regulatory. The FDA's April 2026 proposal to exclude semaglutide, tirzepatide and liraglutide from the 503B bulks list would close the last pathway permitting large-scale compounding of these molecules, and the comment period closes on 30 July 2026. Most coverage of this market has not registered it.
The second is commercial. Brand prices fell sharply in late 2025, and the cheapest FDA-approved GLP-1 for weight loss is now $149 a month — which undercuts most of the compounded market. Almost no comparison page has updated.
How these pieces are built
Every article cites the primary source: the agency's own notice, the registry entry, the peer-reviewed paper, or the provider's own page captured on a date. A news article about a study is not a source for that study's results.
Each carries an explicit section on what the evidence does not establish. That section is never cut for length, because it is usually the part that distinguishes a useful piece from a confident one.
Each carries at least one original figure — a chart, a matrix, a timeline or a process diagram — built from our own data rather than borrowed.
What we have not published, and why
Three commissioned pieces remain and are excluded from search indexing until they are.
The retatrutide phase 3 piece is the notable one. Figures circulating online — 28.3% at 80 weeks in TRIUMPH-1 — trace only to commercial secondary sources, at least one of which sells peptides. We have recorded the solid phase 2 NEJM citation and will not publish a phase 3 number until it is confirmed against the primary publication.
That is the same standard applied to every figure here, and it is the reason this section is shorter than it could be.
